The Frisky Fairy Reviews: Best Bondage Erotica 2014

The Frisky Fairy Reviews favorite toys, books, blogs, and other fun sex education reviews!

I was lucky enough to be able to review Best Bondage Erotica 2014 for Rachel Kramer Bussel-who is quite possibly one of my favorite erotica authors and editors. I have been in love with her books for ages, and I was so excited to have a copy of her newest bondage anthology. I had originally wanted to post this review next Friday, but reading through it made me realize that this would make a wonderful, sexy Christmas present.

I got the book in the mail on on Monday afternoon, and after taking some time to stroke the shiny and delightfully sexy cover, I put the book in my handbag and promptly forgot about it. It wasn’t until Tuesday evening, when my Kindle had died that I remembered I had another book I could read while I waited to charge my Kindle. By Thursday morning, my Kindle was still on the charger, and I finished the last page of what is possibly the sexiest book I will read this year.

I am usually pretty jaded with erotica, I mostly read it now for the enjoyment of the writing as opposed to the ability of the words to turn me on. I was worried when I got this book that I wouldn’t love it as much as everyone else did. I can honestly say, I was really thrilled to be wrong. The book opens up with a foreword from Laura Antoniou and an introduction from Rachel Kramer Bussel before jumping right into a perfect opening story about rope dancing. From that point on I was enraptured by the stories and could hardly put the book down.

Such a good book, even my cat wanted to read it.

There are not enough words in the English language to tell you how much I loved this book. I was able to find new and exciting stories that turned me on, and that is a rarity. The language and content were able to thrill me on multiple levels, and I really feel that this book has enough content for everyone that it would be hard to be disappointed. I was incredibly impressed with the diversity across the pages, as I feel there is not enough diversity in erotica and many erotic anthologies. There was diversity in body types, relationship types, gender roles, sex, gender, and gender presentation. The bondage itself ranged from beginner to advanced, but the stories still displayed the same feeling of intimacy in all the various types of relationships. The book was incredibly hot, and by the end of it I simply wanted more. “Roping the Cowboy”, “Tart Cherry”, and “The Neckcloth” were my favorites and I’ve included excerpts from them below, however you can read excerpts from each story by clicking here.

I love this book and I think you will too! Best Bondage Erotica 2014 gets the Frisky Fairy seal of approval. Get frisky and get yours here!

Roping the Cowboy by Teresa Noelle Roberts

I swung my legs around to the side, making sure he got a good look at the fishnets, and at everything my little red dresswasn’t hiding. “It’s fun to tie up boys. But it’s more fun to tie up men.” I looked at him coolly as I could, smiling a slow, predatory, red-lipped smile. “Which are you, cowboy?”

He gulped and glanced away. His big hand fumbled with his empty beer bottle. But when he looked back at me, his gaze was steady. “Like to think I’m a man. But I reckon I’ll be whichever you want tonight. That is, if you’re interested.”

“Good answer. Next question: do you always ask strange women to tie you up?”

Tart Cherry by Kathleen Delaney-Adams

“Do you want this?”

She nodded.

“Answer me. I want to hear you say it.” He wasn’t asking.

“Yes. Yes. I want that. You. I want you.” Their eyes met again, and he nodded, a cool smile at his lips.

The first kiss of the whip was but a flirt of leather on her breasts, a kiss that rendered her shaking with desire and fear. Oh, how she loved the fear. She ached to protect her flesh, her own exposed nipples, and her inability to do anything but stand before him, nipples thrust forward, back arched, arms bound, left her trembling with an anticipation like none she had ever known. Anticipation, and a deepening need to please this butch she had met a mere hour ago. Von increased the lashes on her breasts slowly, letting them build until she moved her body in expectation, a slight shifting toward the whip. He laughed and hit her pussy with the whip–and not gently, either. Delilah moaned and spread her legs open for more.

The Neckcloth by Annabel Joseph

“We have been through this enough times.” He tilted his chin so she could slide her fingers inside his collar. “You should be an expert at neckcloth removal by now.”

She hissed as the end of the pin pricked her finger.

“Let me see,” he said.

She held up the injured digit. He kissed it and slipped the pearl-tipped pin into a pocket. “You’ll live. Proceed.”

She blinked and pouted and went back to her task. From time to time, her knuckles brushed against the fair stubble on his cheeks. He was tall and blond, haughty and handsome. Posey knew that other ladies talked about her husband behind their fans. They whispered that he was sinfully pleasant to look at, a fine figure of a man.

They didn’t know what he was like behind closed doors.

“The longer you take, the more time I have to hone my jealous outrage.”
